To capture those “in between moments” - the genuine laughs and looks that just can’t be posed or planned out, the moments that happen when you think no one is looking. My passion is to capture those little instances when you let your guard down and let the real you shine.
I am a part-time photographer based in the good ole city of Houston, Texas! I love traveling, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and pretty much doing anything that’s active and outdoors. I am married to the funniest and most *perfect for me* person I’ve ever met, Stephen.
Together we spend way too much money on Starbucks, and re-watch The Office any chance we get (well, mainly me). I have been a photographer for about 4ish years now, and have tried out multiple styles of photography, but I’ve found that I feel my most creative and inspired when I’m photographing love and passion.
My parents originally wanted to name me Dara.
I’ve traveled to 8 different countries, but only 7 states.
I backpacked through Europe when I graduated high school - how my parents let me do that, I will never know!
I drink a venti Starbucks double shot with almond milk every. single. day. - no shame in the game!
I met my husband when we both worked at Apple back in 2013.
I have three cats, Indy, Dwight, and Taco.
I would eat chinese take out every night if I could.
I’ve re-watched The Office and Parks and Rec collectively about 9 times, and I still laugh as if it’s my first time watching them!
From our e-introduction, to planning and scheduling, to our face to face meeting and photo shoot...Dina was nothing short of amazing! When we met her, she made us feel like we’d already known her. My fiancé and I had never done a photo shoot before and she made us feel so comfortable and confident.
Not only is Dina such a talented photographer, she is such a sweet and caring person. You'll feel comfortable while she takes your photographs and be confident that those photos will turn out beautifully. She took couples photos and photos with our puppy, and she was patient during the entire shoot. I am so so happy with just the few photos that she's sent us so far and excited to see the rest.
My wife and I have been together for almost 12 years, and had never done a nice photo shoot together. We were so nervous to work with someone, thinking the experience would feel weird or unsatisfactory. However, we saw Dina's work, contacted her, and knew we'd found our match. Our session had the perfect balance of fun, creativity, and comfort. Dina made sure we felt heard and ready for every part of the session, and gave us great ideas throughout. Her location scouting is LOVE! She has a great eye for finding the nooks and crannies within the city that'll highlight the emotions you want to capture!
We used Dina for our maternity photos and couldn't be more in love with them! She is open to ideas you have while also coming up with creative poses and catching candid special moments. The background scenery she chose at our location was gorgeous and just elevated our photos that much more. Posing can feel awkward to me usually but Dina makes it feel and look natural! I am SO grateful we have such amazing memories documented of our family of 2 before we became a family of 3. Seriously love her and her photography so much!
I have gone to Dina Rohira Photography on multiple occasions and am always very satisfied with the outcome. I have used Dina Rohira Photography for individual pictures and also for family shoots. Always easy to work with and flexible. I liked how we were given options for where we can do the shoot based on what we want. The outcome the photos are always a great mix that are candid and also posed. Overall, one of the best in Houston that I am able to find.
Gerardo Duque and I had already reviewed Dina after our wonderful photoshoot but we just had to add something else about our experience. Yesterday we received an adorable envelope from her with our names including a 'thank you' card made with two of the photos from our session and just LOVED IT! <3 The fact that Dina was not only amazing before the shoot (with color palettes, scouting, and overall collaboration), during the shoot (with fun ideas and coaching), and THEN sent us this note, demonstrates wonderful customer service and attention to detail.
Dina is extremely personable and friendly, and she sets you at ease so that you feel completely comfortable and natural in front of the camera. Prior to shooting, Dina always asks me what I'm looking for with my shots and I am able to give her ideas. She does a fantastic job of doing her research on specific locations and she ALWAYS brings my vision to life perfectly. Dina is courteous, professional, efficient and warm - you don't feel like you're shooting with a photographer, you feel like you're taking pictures with your friend. I highly recommend her services.
Dina has to be one of the most patient and laid back photographers around! She shot our daughter's first birthday and did an incredible job of capturing truly beautiful candid moments. Fast forward to Christmas 2016 (mini session) when she drove around all morning to help us find our perfect urban background. She was so patient and helpful.
I worked with Dina for my college graduation photos and have never felt more comfortable in front of a camera! She is fun, encouraging, flexible, and professional! I can't wait to work with her on future projects! She is my number one recommendation for any occasion you want to be captured!
Holy moly - where do I start?! Dina Rohira is an amazing professional photographer. She's taken pictures for our proposal, our engagement, as well as our baby announcement. She is clever, creative, and SO very fun to work with! Her photography skills are honest and precise. She captures who you are as a unique individual or couple; her work is true to the client. Oh, and she does an excellent job editing! I never have to wait long to see our photos and I LOVE that! She is dedicated to her clients and she delivers. 100% highly recommend! You won't regret it!
Dina and I have collaborated several times and each instance has been one of professionalism, support, and excellent photography. Her warm personality helps create a fun and relaxed shoot that allows her subject to feel comfortable. I would always be open to working together again in the future.

I’ve always enjoyed capturing those unseen moments - the ones that happen when you think nobody’s looking. Those in-between moments that make your heart beat a little faster and make you fall in love all over again. The moments that you want to remember - the type that you want to share with your loved ones. Let’s create those little moments.
This is where I get to know you and the type of photos you are envisioning. Together we can collaborate on a location and plan out your wardrobe to ensure you get the images you’ve been dreaming about. Based on our consultation, I will create a *style board* for you, just to make sure we are on the right path to planning the perfect session.
Now the real fun begins! Your session will be about 2-3 hours long depending on the package you have chosen, with as many outfits as you need to get the look you want and feel your best!
Retouching is an important part of the portrait process - yes, I’ll take away a blemish or two, but I will also edit the photos in a way that still look like you. Your images will be edited and retouched to enhance the colors around you, adding a warmth and dreamy-ness to them. This is where the *magic* happens, and honestly my favorite part of the process!
Your final photos will be delivered straight to you through an online gallery within 2-3 weeks, where you will be able to download and share the images as you please!
Finding the right photographer can be challenging, but it’s all about finding the right fit. If you’re looking for someone that tells you how to stand, where to look, or has a studio full of equipment - we might not make the best team.
I love working with my clients to create the photos they’ve dreamed of, and usually those photos don’t involve studio lighting or rehearsed poses. Yes, I’ll direct you on how to look, but I’ll also capture those unseen moments, the ones that are truly you.
